Notes

The Claude Code plugin runs the server in Docker and asks for your Grafana URL and a service account token (Viewer role, Editor for writes), kept in the system keychain. Grafana Cloud users can install grafana-cloud-mcp instead, a hosted server that needs no Docker or token. The plugin adds 40+ tools to context, so turn it on only when you need a live Grafana. The server also has a read-only mode. Codex setup is not documented.
