Latest release v2.8.0. dbt documents Claude Code and Claude Desktop, not Codex. The config shown goes in .mcp.json at the project root and is CLI only; add DBT_HOST for dbt platform tools with OAuth (Starter, Enterprise or Enterprise+). A remote server runs at https://YOUR_DBT_HOST_URL/api/ai/v1/mcp. CLI tools such as build can change models and warehouse objects. execute_sql over a token needs a personal access token.
